What once looked like a pile of blackberries actual hid this treasure. The owners had the vision to not only restore this classis home but expand in a thoughtful way that keep the original feel in tact. Once they had relocated it on the property and put a new foundation in place the tireless work of restoring started. Any opportunity to retain original materials and reuse in another was done. The original shiplap sub structure was removed, lightly sanded and refinished as the interior finish of the kitchen, island and beam wrap. It was paramount that the original stairway be maintained to make the rest of the house layout work. Beautifully design cabinets, perfectly selected floors and meticulously install ship created the timeless and comfortable living areas. Large doors off the back porch bring in a fresh breeze and plenty of natural light. The details shown throughout the OG harken back to days of old when houses were built with a more hands on approach. Having the opportunity to bring a nearly century old home back to life is a project we will always cherish. We are proud to the way we were able to tie together both the old and new portions of the home making it feel complete as one.
