The Rockshore Remodel was designed around one central need: a fully accessible, beautiful home, customized to fit the homeowner's daily routine, lifestyle, and needs. Every space was reworked so it could be reached and enjoyed with ease, from wider doorways to no-step entries throughout. Cabinets, fixtures, and the entire floorplan were custom designed around the client, rather than fitted to a standard layout.

Where the home had once been bright and retro in style — dressed in white, pink, and light green with brass accents — the design theme shifted toward something warmer and more grounded, built around rich dark wood tones and a dramatic floor-to-ceiling river rock fireplace. Lakefront views now reach into both the main living space and the primary bedroom, keeping the water part of everyday life inside the home.

At the heart of the main living area, the river rock fireplace anchors the room, its warm, textured stone playing off the dark wood throughout the rest of the house.

Accessibility extended outdoors as well. A new front yard gazebo offers a shaded place to gather, while a wheelchair-accessible path leads to both a firepit and a floating dock on the lake, extending the home's ease of movement into every part of the property.

The result is a home that feels entirely transformed, yet built around how one person actually lives in it; comfortable, accessible, and connected to the water at every turn.

"I would like to recommend the services of Williams Contracting of Olympia, WA. The owner Chris Williams is a great person to work with. We came to him with a raw concept of a garage with a second floor. He designed the building, checking with us about many details. He made a lot of suggestions that we were delighted with and incorporated into the design. He suggested a detail that resulted in a new front door for the house, it is great. Once we agreed to the design he took it to an architect to get working plans. The county permit approval process and the hiring of the sub contractors all flowed easily."
